One City, One Book Talk By Historian Donal Fallon

Echoland, Joe Joyce’s gripping thriller set in Dublin during World War Two, is the choice for this year’s Dublin: One City, One Book initiative. To celebrate, Fingal Libraries is hosting a talk on life in Dublin during the Emergency by historian Donal Fallon in Blanchardstown Library on Wednesday 5th April at 6.30pm. Donal Fallon is a historian and writer based in Dublin. He has been published in History Ireland, Jacobin, the Irish Independent, Totally Dublin and other diverse outlets. He has worked with Dublin City Council (on the ‘My Area in 1916’ project), the Little Museum of Dublin and published a number of books, including a study of the Nelson Pillar. Dublin: One City, One Book encourages everyone to read a book connected with the capital city during the month of April every year.
