The Capital Programme sets out the proposed major infrastructural projects to be undertaken, subject to funding being available, over a 3 year rolling programme. In October 2018, the Capital Programme 2019-2021 was presented to and noted by the Councillors. The Capital Programme 2019-2021 identifies 212 individual projects with an estimated spend of €588.68m over the 3 years.
Capital funding is used to provide infrastructural projects for the Fingal area e.g. housing construction, roads, community/recreational facilities etc. The delivery of the projects included in the Capital Programme is dependent on funding being available. As the nature of the work is to provide infrastructure, the timing of delivery of projects is affected by any tendering process and/or planning process required.
