Social Inclusion Community and Activation Programme (SICAP)
The Social Inclusion Community and Activation Programme (SICAP) provides funding to tackle poverty and social exclusion through local engagement and partnerships between disadvantaged individuals, community organisations and public sector agencies.
SICAP is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.

Learning Brief: A Comparison of Women and Men support by SICAP
The reports were launched by Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Michael McGrath TD, and Minister of State with responsibility for Community Development and Charities, Joe O’Brien TD, in June 2022. The Ministers acknowledged the dedication and hard work of LCDCs and LDCs in implementing the programme and responding to the challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic during 2021.
