Dé Céadaoin an 12 Márta in Atriam Halla an Chontae, Sord, agus le tacaíocht ó Ionad Ealaíon Sheamus Mhic Aonghusa, déanfar Seachtain na Gaeilge a cheiliúradh  le Ceol, Craic agus Gaeilge idir 7in agus 9in. Beidh an tsiamsaíocht á cur ar fáil ag ceathrar ceoltóirí sár-chumasacha , Bernadette Nic Gabhann, Caitlín Nic Gabhann, Ciarán Ó Maonaigh agus Seán McElwain

Bíonn an-tóir i gcónaí ar an imeacht bhliantúil seo, a chuireann fáilte roimh éinne ón gcontae le díograis na Gaeilge aige teacht le chéile le foireann Fhine Gall, agus déantar rannpháirtíocht an lucht féachana a spreagadh; mar sin, más mian leat a bheith páirteach le hamhrán do do chuid féin ar an oíche, glac é agus fáilte.

Ceoltóirí: 

Bernadette Nic Gabhann is from Co. Meath & has travelled the world as a fiddle player with ‘Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance’, Gaelforce Dance & others. Bernadette launched her solo Fiddle CD ‘Here to Play’ , and is a member of the acclaimed transatlantic group ‘NicGaviskey’. From a musical family, Bernadette now performs & teaches while also hosting multiple ‘Meath Beo’ live music events throughout the year.

Caitlín Nic Gabhann is a concertina player, performer, teacher, composer and percussive dancer. Having toured for years as a dancer with Riverdance, 3 time All-Ireland concertina champion Caitlín is a regular performer at festivals and concert halls from North America to Asia over the last 15 years. Caitlín’s life’s work to date has been recognised with her being chosen as UCC Traditional Artist in Residence for 2022. 

A former recipient of TG4 Young Musician of the Year, fiddle player Ciarán Ó Maonaigh hails from the Gaoth Dobhair gaeltacht in Co. Donegal. Growing up, he was heavily influenced by his extended family; his grandfather and teacher Francie Mooney. Ciarán’s music has been used in films, on television and on radio programmes. Ciarán works mostly in the field of music documentary making. 

Seán McElwain is a scholar, educator and award-winning musician. He is a member of the award-winning group Téada and has performed frequently throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Asia. He is also the recipient of a TG4 Gradam Ceoil award (2016) for his ‘Our Dear Dark Mountain With The Sky Over It' project, which focused on the musical heritage of the Sliabh Beagh region of north Monaghan/east Fermanagh.
