Let’s Play Rush
Let's Play Rush came about because of the EU URBACT project called the “Playful Paradigm” which is led by the town of Udine in Italy and includes Cork as an Irish partner. Cork is now leading an URBACT National Transfer Network Initiative in Ireland which aims to share the good practice learned in the Playful Paradigm network with other Irish towns to introduce opportunities for play in towns for social, environmental and economic benefits.
Rush is participating in the Irish Network along with Cork, Donegal Town, Rathdrum in Wicklow, Sligo Town and Portlaoise to learn best practice on developing play and place-making actions.
Rush’s Transfer Plan focuses on delivering actions under five objectives:
- Raise awareness of the benefits of play
- Promote inclusion of everyone from ages 0 – 99+ in play
- Promote integration and community building through play
- Increase public play opportunities
- Develop partnership approach for play opportunities
The Let's Play Rush Project runs from June 2021 to December 2022.
