Ballycoolin to Kingstown Trunk Watermain; Notification of Works 9th February 2022

A Proposed 5-hr Water Outage is required at 12noon to 5pm on Wednesday 9th February 2022 at Kilreesk Road to facilitate mains works.

Kilreesk water shut down

Irish Water, working in partnership with Fingal County Council, is constructing a new trunk watermain to serve parts of North Dublin benefitting residents, businesses, hospitals and agriculture. Roadbridge Limited is working on behalf of Irish Water to deliver this project.

As part of the works, a section of watermain along the R108 (highlighted in the map) will be shut down for a period of 5 hours from 12:00 – 17:00 on Wednesday 09th of February. This work is required to facilitate the connection of a new branch to the existing watermain along the R108, increasing the resilience of the local water network.

Customers in the area will be without water during this period.  Once the works are completed, normal water supply will begin to be restored. Full water supply may take 1-2 hours to return to all impacted properties as water refills the network.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused during the shutdown and all those effected have been given advance notice of the works.

An update on the future planned works in relation to the Ballycoolin to Kingstown Trunk Watermain will be provided at a later date.  For more information on the project see https://www.water.ie/projects/local-projects/ballycoolin-to-kingstown-trunk-water-mains/
