The Magical World of Leaflings with Niamh Sharkey and Owen Churcher

Welcome to the world of Leaflings, the secret guardians of the trees all around the world. Niamh Sharkey and Owen Churcher will show you the magic behind the art and story of their beautiful A Field Guide to Leaflings, and how to draw and make your own field guide. Owen Churcher is a graphic design and media tutor working in North Dublin and writer of children’s picture books. Owen is currently collaborating on a new series of picture books with his wife, the author and illustrator, Niamh Sharkey. A Field Guide to Leafling’s is Owen’s first book. Niamh Sharkey is an award-winning picture book creator of books  including The Ravenous Beast and The Happy Hugglewug. Niamh is also an Emmy nominated creator and executive producer of Disney Junior’s animated preschool series Henry Hugglemonster and Eureka. She was also Ireland’s Laureate na nÓg (2012-2014).

Free book for every child in attendance. Spaces limited. Booking is essential.
