A message from Chief Executive AnnMarie Farrelly on International Women's Day

This International Women’s Day I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and thank my colleagues, our many female Councillors and all the women of Fingal for the immense contribution they make to our County.

Whether it be as friend, carer, professional, mother, campaigner or in any other sphere, the women I meet in my role as Chief Executive of Fingal County Council continue to amaze me. I have met strong women caring for their families far from home due to the heartbreaking consequences of the war on Ukraine. I’ve spoken with resourceful women working to better their communities. I’ve watched innovative women bring their business ambitions to life and I’ve been privileged to work with tireless women committed to making Fingal the best place to live, work and do business now and into the future. I am inspired by their hard work and their optimism.

When we work together, we can achieve great things for today's women and for generations to come.
