New affordable homes on offer in Hampton Gardens Close, Balbriggan

Fingal County Council has agreed with Orchid Homes to deliver 18 new homes in Hampton Gardens Close, Balbriggan under the Affordable Housing Scheme.

Homes on offer under the scheme will be a mix of one-bed ground floor apartments and two-bed duplex units. Prices for eligible applicants will start at €170,000 for a one-bed apartment with prices for a 2-bedroom duplex unit starting from €220,000.

These homes will be available at a reduced price for buyers who are seeking to purchase a newly built home but need to bridge the gap between their mortgage and deposit to cover the full price of the home. The scheme will be aimed at first-time buyers (although some exceptions apply).

Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Adrian Henchy said, “I am thrilled to announce that the Hampton Gardens Close development in Balbriggan will soon provide 18 affordable, sustainable, and secure homes in a prime location in Fingal. Affordable housing plays a pivotal role in the Council's strategies to address the housing crisis and to guarantee that the housing requirements of our communities are fulfilled.”

Chief Executive of Fingal County Council, AnnMarie Farrelly said: “Hampton Gardens Close is the latest of several social and affordable housing projects that Fingal County Council is working on. I would like to commend the Housing Department on bringing this project to fruition.”
