Update 24 September 2024
The project is approx. 85% complete. The resurfacing works along Hamilton Road are substantially complete with only the ramps at the pedestrian crossings and the ramp at the cricket pitch maintenance access gate left to complete.
Resurfacing works continue along Harry Reynold Road heading north and have reached the junction at chapel Avenue.
The Footpath and cyclepath works are progressing along Harry Reynolds Road heading east towards Drogheda Street.
The road surface between the Moylaragh roundabout and the Harry Reynolds Road roundabout is currently being prepared and resurfacing works on this section of road have commenced. The road resurfacing works are 75% complete.
The next phase of the works will see the civic space adjoining the public car park near the Dublin Road roundabout constructed and the commencement of the upgrade works for the footpaths in Millpond Park. Substantial completion of the Harry Reynolds Road Project is envisaged by mid-December 2024.
Update 19 July 2024
Construction works are progressing well on the Harry Reynolds Road Pedestrian and Cyclist Route for this key infrastructure project for Balbriggan with approx. 75% of the project now completed. Works continue to progress at three locations - Hamilton Road, Harry Reynolds Road just south of the R122 and at Moylaragh Road. The stone Gabion walls have been completed just before the Fingal Bay Business Park heading North and works to the third quadrant of the Dublin Roundabout are currently underway.
The next phase of the project to be undertaken in August will be the road resurfacing works. The first area to be resurfaced is Hamilton Road with this programmed to start in August.
