Craic & Ceol at Fingal’s St. Patrick’s Day Parades

St Patrick's Day

The countdown is on! This St. Patrick’s Day, we’re inviting everyone to come join us as we paint towns across Fingal green, with parades, lively music, and all the craic you can handle!

On Monday, March 17th our communities will burst to life – this year there are seven vibrant local family-friendly parades for people to come together and celebrate Ireland's national day in style. Fingal County Council’s Events Office anticipates this year’s parades will draw the largest crowds yet, with over 100,000 expected to attend across the county, promising an unforgettable experience for all.

Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Brian McDonagh said: “The spirit of St. Patrick’s Day is about more than just the parades—it’s about the people, the traditions, and the shared joy of being together. Our celebrations will be a fantastic reflection of that, and I look forward to seeing you join the festivities no matter where you are across the county.”

Parades this year will include:

  1. Swords – the parade will kick-off at 11am from the Coláiste Choilm School, travelling down Main Street and finishing at North Street, Swords Castle Town Park.

We’re proud to host parades in seven locations that highlight our local charms, culture and traditions and we can’t wait to see people from all walks of life come together to add extra cheer to the day.”
