Mayor of Fingal, Councillor Eoghan O’Brien, will officially launch two new books by local author Gerard Ronan entitled Margaret Evans – Poet of Portrane and Sophia Parnell-Evans – Feminism, Politics and Farming in 19th Century Portrane on Wednesday 4th March at 6.30pm at Donabate Library.

Fingal County Council’s Director of Housing, Margaret Geraghty, has rejected claims by protesters in relation to the allocation of houses at a social housing development in Mulhuddart where a protest has halted construction for the past six weeks.

Fingal, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown and South Dublin County Councils have come together with Approved Housing Bodies at the inaugural meeting of a Regional Forum to discuss continued partnership opportunities and enhance the delivery of housing. 

Four new councillors were co-opted as members of Fingal County Council at a Special Meeting this evening.

Fingal County Council has announced funding of €288,000 to 43 groups and organisations across Fingal under the Festival and Events Funding Programme 2020.

Seachtain na Gaeilge will be celebrated in style in Fingal again in 2020 as Fingal County Council launches an exciting and varied programmed of events.  Council events are taking place in venues including County Hall Swords, Local Libraries, Swords Castle and Ardgillan Demesne and many other events are being organised by Irish language groups throughout the County.

The second phase of construction works on the Aviation Fuel Pipeline on Stockhole Lane/Clonshaugh Road will commence on Monday. A major traffic management plan will be in operation for the duration of the construction works.
