Temporary Road Closures

Fingal County Council have made an order for the temporary road closure of Barberstown Lane South. This road will be closed between the 14th April 2025 at 1000 until 15th April 2025 at 1800. The purpose of this road closure is to carry out road improvement works in connection with the construction of the Ongar Barnhill Road. See advert for details.

 

We wish to advise our intention to undertake temporary road closures of various non-national roads in the Balbriggan/Swords Operational Area. This is to facilitate road resurfacing works. The roads will be closed for 1 to 5 days during the period 1st May 2025 to 1st December 2025. See advert 1 for details of these locations.

We are proposing that Sundrive Road in Rush be closed for the purpose of carrying out a permanent reinstatement of sewer connection. It is proposed that the road will be closed on 22nd April 2025 from 8am until 6pm. See related Advert and Map for these works.

Fingal County Council have now made an order for the temporary road closure of Coolmine Road/ Carpenterstown Road (at Coolmine Train Station), Dublin 15. The road will be closed from 10pm on Saturday 5th April 2025 to 08am on Sunday 6th April 2025. See Advert 

We are looking at the provision of traffic calming measures in Naul Village. The scheme would include ramps, road signage and road markings. You can see what's envisaged with Ad1 and Map1. Plans and particulars of the Scheme are available for inspection in the County Hall in Swords, at Balbriggan Library and at the Seamus Ennis Centre. These are also available at https://consult.fingal.ie/. Submissions should be received no later than 4.30pm on Thursday 10th of April 2025.

We wish to advise that Balheary Road in Balheary will be closed for the purpose of installing ducts for the Mainscourt Solar Farm grid connection. The road will be closed from 7th April 2025 until 9th May 2025 for 24 hours per day. See Decision Advert, Diversions 2, Traffic Management layout.

Fingal would like to give notice that it has prepared Schemes for the provision of traffic calming measures at the following locations:

 

Various roads in the Garristown area will be closed for the purpose of holding a fundraising 5km and 10km run. This will be from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Sunday 6th April 2025. See advert 2 and map.

The existing Bath Road Car Park is temporarily closed from 29 January 2025 until April 2025 as it undergoes a major upgrade. While these works are being carried out, there are 50 parking spaces available nearby at the new Overflow Car Park also located on Bath Road

On site development works are expected to begin in the week commencing 12 August 2024 at Bremore Castle Car Park in Balbriggan. These works will take several months to complete.

Temporarily closure of Seatown Road from the Junction of St Columcille’s Drive/Seatown Road to the Junction of North Street/Seatown Road. This period will be 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2026.
