Following on from the launch of the Finding the Voices of Fingal Women Pioneers, a creative community coaching  leadership programme, Fingal County Council are now inviting local women to come along and apply to be part of the programme.

International Women's Day is celebrated annually on March 8 with the message to celebrate women's achievement, raise awareness about discrimination and take action to drive gender parity. Please see details of the many events in Fingal around this day and week. 

This year "Shine A Light” Event will take place in Swords Castle and Park on Friday 8th March 2024. For more information see here. 

The Fingal Comhairle na nÓg delivered a lively presentation on April 5th 2023 to the Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Howard Mahony and Chief Executive of Fingal County Council, AnnMarie Farrelly in the Council Chamber in Swords.

Fingal She Leads, an initiative of Fingal County Council, as part of International Women's Day (IWD) 2023 is celebrating women's leadership in a visual way, through a photography exhibition.

Fingal County Council was proud to bring Shine A Light for Women to Dublin 15 to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8th 2023.

Fingal County Council has today launched a community living room pilot initiative at three key centres in the County. These  will give a welcoming and comfortable environment for people to drop in to.

Fingal County Council’s Community Office has released a new video promoting the work of the Fingal Community Facilities Network. Set up in 2017, the network has a membership of 34 community facilities across Fingal.

The first sod has been turned on the new Meakstown Community Centre in Dublin 11.

Fingal County Council welcomed the announcement by the Minister for Rural and Community Development Heather Humphreys TD of the successful application for major funding to help upgrade the facilities at Hartstown Community Centre.

The community of Mountview in Dublin 15 was honoured at the prestigious IPB Pride of Place Community Awards on 21 January. The Community took top spot in the ‘Urban Neighbourhood’ category
