All age groups join in to launch new Let’s Play initiative in Rush

Last weekend saw Let’s Play Rush launch with key events aimed at developing a playful culture in the town. The EU initiative sees an URBACT Transfer Network in Ireland sharing good practice in sustainable urban development between cities and towns, with Rush one of five towns learning best practice from lead city Cork on how to develop play and placemaking actions.

Significant LEADER Funding approved for New Projects in Rural Fingal

Significant investment has been secured for Fingal projects at the most recent Dublin Rural LEADER Approvals Meeting. The Dublin Rural LEADER Local Action Group, which oversees the LEADER Programme in Dublin, approved €230,748.76 in funding for 5 new projects in Rural Dublin at its November Online Meeting.

Fingal County Council is delighted to congratulate all TidyTowns committees on their continued success following the announcement of the results of this year’s awards. The SuperValu TidyTowns competition saw Ennis in Co Clare named as the overall winner from a total of 847 entries.

New neighbourhood sports and community centre proposed for Meakstown

Fingal County Council has unveiled plans to develop a new sports hall and community centre at Lanesborough Park in Meakstown which will see a much-needed facility built to help cater for a wide-range of community, recreational, education and sporting activities in the area.
