Affordable Housing Scheme - Online Application Tutorial
Construction of the new affordable homes at Hayestown is already underway with all of the houses expected to be completed in 2024. The online application portal for this scheme is now closed.
Fingal County Council will deliver 52 affordable housing units comprising of the following:
- 12 no. 2-bed houses
- 40 no. 3-bed houses
Plans and drawings of the units to be made available for sale can be viewed below.
These homes will be available at a reduced price for buyers who are seeking to purchase a newly built home but need to bridge the gap between their mortgage and deposit to cover the full price of the home.
In order to be eligible to apply for the scheme at Hayestown, applicants must satisfy the below criteria;
- Be a first-time buyer or meet the exceptions under the Fresh Start Principle, or own a dwelling which, because of its size, is not suited to the current accommodation needs of the applicant’s household.
- To apply for a 2-bedroom property, gross household income for the preceding 12 months should be below €59,175. *Some exceptions apply
- To apply for a 3-bedroom property, gross household income for the preceding 12 months should be below €72,000. *Some exceptions apply
- Each person included in the application must have the right to reside indefinitely in the State.
- The affordable home must be the household’s normal place of residence.
