Clothes Recycling

Join ‘Change Clothes’ for a day-long clothes upcycling and repair event where creativity meets sustainability! 

Bring your own item of clothing or choose from our leftover clothing swap to transform and upcycle.

Open to all ages, this hands-on workshop is perfect for anyone looking to breathe new life into their wardrobe and reduce waste. Don't miss out on this fun, creative and social experience!

Learn essential skills like basic alterations (taking clothes in and out, hemming), creative patching, and block printing to cover stains in style.

Active Travel/ Cycling

Basic Bike repair will be provided by the Rediscovery Centre cycling specialists free of charge.

Come and test your pedal power with our selection of bike games, see how much pedal power it takes to power various lightbulbs or race a scaletrix car around the track using your bike skills

Fingal County Council Active Travel Department will provide information about cycling, cycle training, routes, safety and electric bikes. Come along to find out more!

Climate Change in the Sea

Meet Nemo & Dory see what life is like off the coast of Ireland in the aquarium; and hold a real-life starfish in our touch-pool!

Dive into the amazing underwater world with marine biologists Eimear Manning ‘The Shark Lady’ from Turn Tides & Kealan Doyle ‘The Seahorse Man’ from Seahorse Aquariums! Learn how the Climate is affecting the seas and how you can lower emissions.

In this true sensory experience, visitors can touch the ancient artefacts from prehistoric oceans.

Food Waste & Composting

What happens your food waste? See it all at the Climate Festival, you’ll see how food waste becomes a resource for gardening as part of the bio-economy.

Take a walk over to the Millennium Park Community Garden at 2pm where you’ll see fruit and vegetables in season. The tour starts from the festival, walking over to the Community Garden for a 20 min visit.
