Three significant artist residency opportunities

An Urgent Enquiry is a residency commissioning programme with Wexford County Council, Fingal County Council and Dublin City Council and funded through the Arts Council’s Invitation to Collaboration scheme which supports innovative, ambitious local authority collaborations.

Artists were invited to submit a proposal for one of these three site specific residencies along Ireland’s east coast: the peninsula of Portrane in Fingal, North Bull Island, part of the UNESCO designated Dublin Bay Biosphere, and the South Wexford Coastline.

The residencies will offer artists the opportunity to explore the biodiversity and effects of climate change on these areas through research and engagement with environmental specialists, scientists and local communities, with support from the local authority Arts & Biodiversity Offices.
