Annual Gender Pay Gap Report
Fingal County Council has published its Gender Pay Gap Report for 2024. The gender pay gap is the difference in the average hourly wage of men and women across a workforce. Employers with more than 250 employees in Ireland are required to publish their gender pay gap data annually.
Our 2024 report shows the gender breakdown of all employees was 53% female and 47% male. The Mean Gender Pay Gap shows that on average, females are paid 0.80% more than males. The Median Gender Pay Gap shows that the median rate of pay for females is 14.81% higher than the median rate of pay for males. These figures highlight the headway we have made compared to 2023.
The Chief Executive of Fingal County Council, AnnMarie Farrelly said: “These figures reflect our commitment to equal opportunity and fair treatment in career advancement and recognition. With women comprising over half of our Executive Management Team (six out of eleven members), we are actively working towards removing barriers to equality and nurturing an open, inclusive workplace.”
