Community Environmental Action Fund (formerly Local Agenda 21)
Environmental Conservation and Sustainability
The Department of Environment, Climate and Communications intends on rolling out the Community Environmental Action Fund in early 2022.
Councils can provide financial assistance to local groups including community groups, schools and environmental Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to assist small-scale environmental projects which promote sustainable development.
The Fund encourages involvement of local communities in local action and decision-making and assists them in working towards the goal of sustainable development. The value of the scheme is enhanced by the voluntary effort that it facilitates.
The Community Environmental Action Fund is granted by the Department of Communications, Climate Action and the Environment. There is more information available at this link
