As an existing Fingal County Council housing tenant, you may be eligible to buy your home from Fingal County Council through the 2016 Tenant (Incremental) Purchase Scheme.
Please note the following:
- Only certain property types are eligible for purchase under the Scheme.
- Applicants must furnish evidence of income:
- A reckonable income of €11,000 per annum applies, in which the primary source of the income must be wages, pensions or Disability Allowance. Other forms of Social Welfare payments may be regarded as Secondary Income or disregarded.
- Applicants must be in receipt social housing support for at least 10 years:
- In the case of joint tenancies only one tenant is required to have been in receipt of social housing supports for 10 years.
- Following completion of the property purchase, you will be responsible for all property maintenance and all property related charges, including Local Property Tax
Please contact the Tenant Purchase Section (details below) to request an Application Form. Submit the completed application form together with supporting financial documentation and payment of the Stage 1 application fee - €50.
Applicants must pass this evaluation phase before proceeding to the Valuation Phase.
A valuation of the property is carried out by a valuer (nominated by the Council). The applicant pays the Stage 2 application fee - €100.
