URBACT

For 15 years, the URBACT programme has fostered sustainable integrated urban development in cities across Europe under the European Territorial Cooperation Programme. URBACT’s mission is to enable cities to work together and develop integrated solutions to common urban challenges by networking, learning from each other’s experiences and identifying good practices. There are more than 200 cities across the EU currently participating in URBACT programmes. 

URBACT is helping Irish towns and cities to come together to develop solutions, learn, network with each other and build capacity in local authorities. URBACT provides training and the tools to local authority staff and key community stakeholders to collaborate in the development of better urban policies and making our towns and cities better places to live.
