Loughshinny Beach
Loughshinny is a small seaside village with a sheltered cove-like beach, an active fishing harbour, a picnic area and a public car park.
Loughshinny is serviced by Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead. The bus stop is on the main road between Skerries and Rush, and the beach is a 20 minute walk from the bus stop. If you're travelling by car, there's a public car park at the beach. Check the Google map link at the Location sidebar on the right of this page to plan your route.
Public toilets and a lifeguard station are both operational during the summer months only. When a lifeguard is on duty, the station will fly red or yellow flags. Duty times are from 11 am to 7 pm on weekends in June and every day of July and August.
The water quality at Loughshinny Beach is regularly monitored during the summer months. Information regarding Water Quality will be displayed on the Beach Notice Board. It’s a designated beach under the Quality of Bathing Waters Regulations, 1992. See more on the Bathing Water Quality page.
