Dublin 15 Community Call Memory Book
Dublin 15 Community Care team provided supports to vulnerable people during the Covid 19 restrictions. The visits gave those individuals time to share how they were coping with the restrictions and allowed them an opportunity to chat and share their memories and talk about their life experiences. This method was considered to be the most effective approach to checking on the health and wellbeing of our participants in the Dublin 15 Community.
It was through those visits that the concept of publishing a memory booklet based on those conversations, experiences, knowledge, stories, photographs, recipes and memorabilia arose.
This booklet’s approach is a unique opportunity to capture memories as a therapeutic method to enhance communication between the call care team members, the participants, as well as creating a booklet that is a shared memory of the experiences of all during this significant time in history.
Our Gardening initiative will roll out a number of raised beds, tools, easy care plants, seeds and soil for participants whom enjoy gardening. This initiative will encourage the physical and mental wellbeing of the vulnerable, isolated and older of our community in line with Fingal County Council “Keep Well “, initiative.
