There were 91 candidates seeking the 40 seats in seven local electoral areas across Fingal in 2024 (Balbriggan LEA - 5 seats; Blanchardstown / Mulhuddart LEA - 5 seats; Castleknock LEA - 6 seats; Howth / Malahide LEA - 7 seats; Rush / Lusk LEA - 5 seats; Ongar LEA - 5 seats; Swords LEA - 7 seats).
