Forget Me Nots Choir
The project was initiated when Fingalian Orla Horn and choral director Grainne O’Grady got in touch with Fingal Arts Office in 2013. Grainne O’Grady is a community musician and artist. She founded Music Matters in 2005, a community based choir, to increase accessibility and participation in the arts among local community groups and individuals.
Fingal Arts Office has offered funding support and support in kind through administrative assistance to help etsablish the Forget Me Notschoir in Baldoyle. The singers meet weekly in Baldoyle Community Hall and officially launched the project in April 2014 with a beautiful recital and thanksgiving event. Several members of Fingal County Council were there in support and Paul Reid, Chief Executive, Fingal County Council said a few words which are shared in the documentary piece below.
