Springboard
If you are unemployed you can access the Springboard and Springboard+ Programmes. These programmes are funded by the Department of Education & Skills and managed by the Higher Education Authority– There are a range of part-time higher education courses at each of the Levels 6 to 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications.
Springboard+ offers free higher education courses at certificate, degree and masters for those looking to return to the workforce – this measure is associated with the government policy, Human Capital Initiative (HCI) Pillar 1, which offers incentivised places for graduates to develop skills in areas of skills shortage via graduate conversion courses. Human Capital Initiative Pillar 1 is funded by the National Training Fund.
