The 2024 Annual Report of the Aircraft Noise Competent Authority is now available.

The country is experiencing a sustained demand for aviation services, with activity continuing to trend above pre-pandemic levels. ANCA monitors, assesses and reports on the aircraft noise impacts of this activity and will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

In launching the report, the Director of ANCA, Ethna Felten, said: ‘I firmly believe that it is possible to strike the right balance between an aviation sector that supports industry, tourism and employment with the fundamental right to the enjoyment of the environment. Significant progress has been made on establishing a balanced framework for the management of aircraft noise at Dublin Airport and ensuring that everyone can participate in our regulatory processes in an informed way. Looking ahead, we are committed to building on these achievements’.

The annual report encapsulates the work of the authority over the past year. As a regulatory body overseeing part of this dynamic industry, we are committed to ensuring the highest standards of regulation, transparency, and participation.
