40 Fingal councillors elected across seven LEAs

There were 91 candidates seeking the 40 seats in seven local electoral areas across Fingal in this week's local elections (Balbriggan LEA - 5 seats; Blanchardstown / Mulhuddart LEA - 5 seats; Castleknock LEA - 6 seats; Howth / Malahide LEA - 7 seats; Rush / Lusk LEA - 5 seats; Ongar LEA - 5 seats; Swords LEA - 7 seats).
Following the counting of votes, no one party has a majority with both Fine Gael and The Labour Party finishing with seven seats each. There will also be seven Non-Party Councillors in place when the council meets for the first time in the coming weeks.
