Fingal Arts Office is delighted to announce the successful recipients of the Artists' Support Scheme 2022.
A sum of €200,000 was allocated in the Fingal County Council 2022 budget to support payment of the Artists' Support Scheme. The Arts Office recently invited artists in the administrative area of Fingal to apply for funding, the closing date for receipt of applications was Friday 25th February. The objective of the Artists’ Support Scheme is to support individual professional artists from Fingal to develop their artistic practise and funding can be used for travel and professional development opportunities, a residency, or towards the development of work.
This year the budget for the scheme was increased from €150,000 to €200,000 which has led to an increase in the recommended awards. 167 artists applied and 122 artists were successful in their application, and have been awarded the following amounts, which were approved at the council meeting on 11th April 2022.
