Fingal County Council is delighted to announce that Duo Chagall, who have run the popular classical music series ‘Autumn Sounds’ in Farmleigh since 2010, will this year play in four different venues around Fingal.

Along with The Fingal Ensemble, they will perform at the Grand Hotel in Malahide, Ardgillan Castle, Draiocht and Farmleigh House in the Phoenix Park during September.

Duo Chagall features the celebrated partnership of Fingal-born violinist Gillian Williams and French cellist Arun Rao. The Fingal Ensemble are a sensational 16-piece string orchestra which was officially launched in March 2019.

Gillian will lead the Ensemble in Vivaldi’s famous Four Seasons in Malahide and Draiocht, while the performances at Ardgillan Castle and Farmleigh will feature the Italian guitarist Marco Ramelli, Gillian and Arun along with other guests in chamber music of a distinctly Latin flavour.

The event in The Grand Hotel Malahide takes place on Saturday September 7 at 8:30pm, while the event in Ardgillan Castle takes place at 4pm on Sunday September 8. Both of these performances are pay at the door. Tickets cost €10 each.

Pre-booking is required for the events in Draíocht and Farmleigh.
