Mayor Signing Book of Condolence for Gay Byrne in Swords

Mayor of Fingal, Cllr. Eoghan O’Brien, has signed the Book of Condolence after the passing of legendary broadcaster, Gay Byrne.

The Mayor said: “Gay Byrne was an icon of broadcasting, and generations of Irish people grew up with him.

Fingal has lost a treasured member of its community as he lived in Howth for many years.

On behalf of Fingal I would like to extend my condolences to Gay’s family, loved ones and friends.”

The Book of Condolence will be open until close of business on Friday 8 November.

Members of the public can add their signatures at the reception desks of County Hall, Swords and Civic Offices, Blanchardstown.
