Fingal County Council, as Lead Partner of the Urbact EcoCore Project is delighted to announce an exciting Innovation Challenge/Hackathon in collaboration with Smart Balbriggan. 

Fingal County Council has prepared a Draft Framework Plan for the Stephenstown and Folkstown Little areas of Balbriggan and we want your views.  Stakeholder and public engagement are central to the Plan and submissions are welcome from Thursday 17th October 2024 to Friday 15th November.

Fingal County Council was delighted to welcome artist Vivienne Roche to the Council Chamber, County Hall in Swords to provide a tour of her artwork Flow, (2002). This large-scale relief sculpture comprising of glass, plaster and bronze was commissioned by Fingal County Council as part of the construction of County Hall, which was designed by Bucholz McEvoy Architects.

Fingal County Council has prepared a Draft Local Area Plan (LAP) for Flemington, Balbriggan. This plan outlines a vision for the development of the area with a strong emphasis on long-term sustainability, the reduction of carbon emissions, and the protection of the natural environment.

To help bring vacant and underused buildings back into residential use across the region, Fingal County Council has now approved over €4.5 million in grant payments under the Croí Cónaithe scheme.
