Heritage Signage & Heritage Trail Guidance from Fingal County Council

Interpretation of, and increasing awareness of, our archaeological, historical and natural sites is supported by Fingal County Council. To assist with this the Council has developed guidance to provide clear direction and advice to the public and stakeholders on the best practice, procedures and requirements for the development of heritage signage and heritage trails in Fingal.

Commemorations Programme 2021

Exhibition and Writing Commission Commemorating the Burning of the Coastguard Stations Launched

As part of Fingal County Council's Commemorations programme 2018-2023, the Arts & Libraries Department have produced two separate distinctive elements to commemorate the Burning of the Coast Guard Buildings in June 1921.  The Libraries Exhibition and the Fingal Arts new writing commission on the theme were launched today by Mayor of Fingal Cllr. Seána Ó Rodaigh

Fingal County Council is seeking more detailed input from the people of Balbriggan on the town’s public realm  – its streets, squares and parks  – and how these spaces can work together to deliver high quality public space for locals.

Heritage Week

Heritage Week 2021 Launched

Open the door to heritage is the message from the Heritage Council as National Heritage Week 2021 is launched.  Culture and heritage groups, as well as communities, families and individuals in Fingal are invited to get involved and celebrate and share heritage. National Heritage Week will run from Saturday, 14th to Sunday, 22nd August, and has become one of Ireland’s largest cultural heritage events.
