The African Advocacy Network Ireland is set to wrap up Fingal's annual Inclusion Week

Help celebrate Fingal's diversity on 20 November

The African Advocacy Network Ireland (AANI) will host a Diversity and Inclusion Day event this Sunday, 20th November 2022.

The event - which will take place in the Corduff Resource Centre from 4pm - will offer a platform for many of the different nationalities that call Dublin 15 home. The gathering will be an opportunity for the County's large diaspora to showcase their cultural heritage as well as the diversity that exist in one of Ireland's fastest growing population areas.

Inviting residents from across Fingal to join in festivities, the CEO of AANI, Cllr JK Onwumereh said: "This is a family showpiece designed to put on display the rich cultural outfits of residents as well as the great talents and creative performances on offer. We are grateful to Fingal County Council, Cairde, and the Irish Institute of Music and Song for to supporting such an important community event that will help wrap up the annual Fingal Inclusion Week."

The Minister for Integration Roderic O'Gorman TD will be among a host of special guests at the event, saying: "I'm delighted to join the African Advocacy Network Ireland for their Diversity and Inclusion Day gathering. This event in Corduff Resource Centre allows us to celebrate the diverse nature of our community across Dublin 15."

Deputy Mayor of Fingal Cllr Cathal Boland stated: "The event promises to give us a glimpse of the collaboration, cohesion, community spirit and progress that Dublin 15 is enjoying."
