Customers in Balbriggan and surrounding areas are urged to conserve water in order to allow reservoirs refill
Irish Water and Fingal County Council wish to advise customers in Balbriggan and surrounding areas that they may experience disruption to their supply as works are carried out to safeguard the water supply in the area. Works are required to allow water storage reservoirs in the area to refill and to improve water pressure issues being experienced at some locations.
Homes and businesses in the following locations may experience intermittent disruption to their supply while this essential work is being carried out; Balbriggan, Tankardstown, Moylaragh, Bremore Castle, The Hastings, Taylors Hill, Ashfield Rise and surrounding areas.
Irish Water and Fingal County Council are appealing to customers to conserve water while this work is ongoing. Simple water conservation efforts can have a significant impact on reducing demand on the supply allowing the reservoirs to refill more quickly. Irish Water is appealing to customers to conserve water through actions such as, turning off the tap while brushing your teeth and shaving which can save up to 6 litres of water per minute. Keeping a jug of water in the fridge instead of running the cold tap can save 10 litres of water per day. For more tips on how to reduce your water usage please visit www.water.ie/conservation
