It’s been a long and tough year, so this Christmas Eve why not join us to gently ease into Christmas?
Fingal County Council proudly present The Celtic Tenors live at Swords Castle. The concert is a partnership between the Council, MPI Artists and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
Tune in to Facebook.com/EventsinFingal at 7pm on Christmas Eve for an hour of music, chat and fun. The concert is free and a lovely way for all the family to get into the Christmas spirit.
The medieval Swords Castle is the perfect backdrop for this celebration of Christmas music. The Celtic Tenors, Matthew, James and Daryl, will sing a selection of Christmas favourites including Joy To The World, Angels We Have Heard On High, Away In A Manger, Silent Night and O Holy Night.
They will also perform some of their favourite crowd-pleasers including Caledonia, Red Is The Rose, The Rocky Road To Dublin and many more. With a polished international reputation, the Celtic Tenors offer something truly unique and mesmerising. The skill, range and ability of world-class tenors combined with the personality and fun genuine performers.
Matthew Gilsenan, James Nelson and Daryl Simpson have performed together as the Celtic Tenors for over fifteen years, they offer more than beautiful voices and musical knowledge. This is a great opportunity to see the Celtic Tenors from the comfort of your home over the festive season, as they take you on a journey featuring some of the most loved Christmas Classics on the eve that Santa Claus dances across the skies.
The special Christmas concert premieres on Christmas Eve on Facebook.com/EventsinFingal and through Nashville based, Essential International Artists, it will then stream in the United States of America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand over the festive season.
This event is part of the pilot Live Performance Support Scheme unveiled in November by Catherine Martin TD, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media. The €5m fund aims to provide employment opportunities to artists in this uncertain time and to assist commercial venues, producers and promoters to produce live performances. The Celtic Tenors are the latest act to perform in the venue, following in the footsteps of Kodaline and The Hot House Flowers. Swords Castle is part of the Swords Cultural Quarter which is a major capital project being developed by Fingal County Council.
