Emergency tree felling and pruning works will be carried out on trees located on the side of the R125 road near the R125 / R122 cross roads, likely start 28 June 2021.
Emergency tree felling and pruning works will be carried out on trees located on the side of the R125 road near the R125 / R122 cross roads, likely start 28 June 2021.
A survey was carried out by a qualified arborist and approx. 12 trees were deemed hazardous posing high risk to the public. The trees being felled are either dead or in a structurally unsound condition due to the disease Fraxinus Chalara or affected by fungus.
The National Parks and Wildlife Service have been informed.
A traffic management plan will be put in place and the works will be carried out by a Contractor.
The works are due to commence on Monday the 28th of June. The Contractor is predicting it will take 3 – 4 days to complete.
