Festival in a Van will be on the road on 18th and 19th August bringing free music and spoken word performances to communities across Fingal.
It is a fully equipped mobile performance venue showcasing singers, musicians, poets, and storytellers. Festival in a Van is being brought to Fingal with the assistance of Fingal County Council and Creative Ireland.
Among the artists who will perform are award-winning Balbriggan poet Tony Curtis; indie pop singer-songwriter Leila Jane; singer, actor, screenwriter, and director Esosa Ighodaro; singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin; the Fingal-based dance duo Londiwe Queens; and award-winning Skerries poet Enda Coyle-Greene; with select performances as well from members of each local community.
Festival in a Van promotes wellbeing and quality of life for all citizens by bringing free cultural events to diverse audiences. Over this two-day tour, the Van will visit St. Ita’s Resource Centre, Portrane, Donabate Community Centre, St. Catherine’s Estate in Rush, Floraville Public Park in Skerries, and Garristown village in north Fingal.
