Fingal Arts Office are now seeking expressions of interest from artists who wish to be considered for Resort Residency 2020 at Lynders Mobile Home Park, Portrane.

With the park re-opened for the season we are delighted to announce two residencies available for a selection of dates in August and September 2020. The residencies are for one week with an expectation to return in 2021 for a further stay and the annual Resort Revelations Programme.

The residency begins with the initial residency and is followed with a return visit to the area the year after to create work as part of our Resort Revelations Programme and often in partnership with the local Bleeding Pig Festival. The residency is suitable for individual artists or small teams. It is a welcome collaboration with the Lynders family who provide a welcoming environment for the resident artists.

Mayor of Fingal, Cllr David Healy said; “It is great to see the return of the Resort Residency again this year. Resort Residency and its associated public art programme Resort Revelations has been running in partnership with Lynders Mobile Home Park since 2014. It is a brilliant opportunity for artists to explore the beautiful and unique landscape of Portrane.”

Fingal County Council Director of Service, Margaret Geraghty said; “We are always delighted to invite artists to explore Fingal, the residency is central to the county’s Art Strategy especially in its ambition to enable excellence and connect people and ideas through the arts.”

Public Art Co-ordinator Caroline Cowley explains;” This residency has hosted some of Irelands most exciting artists and is recognised as a programme that supports the development and realisation of new ideas which are embedded and inspired by the local areas, landscape, heritage and community.”

The stipend for the Residency is 500, and accommodation is provided on site in a mobile home located in the park. A designated studio space and introductions to the local area are arranged.

To apply please submit a recent C.V and expression of interest outlining your interest in this particular residency and send them to [email protected] . The closing date for applications is July 20th at 5pm.
