Fingal County Council Showcase Fingal Village at Flavours of Fingal 2023
The Fingal Village will be located in the enchanting Walled Garden this year, hosting multiple council departments eager to engage with the public through interactive activities about their respective endeavours.
Our awesome Events team are as busy as ever and they are now adding the final touches to Newbridge House & Farm ahead of this weekend's Flavours of Fingal County Show. Ireland's largest Summer family fun event is not only a tribute to agricultural, but promises a fun-filled family day out for all ages, showcasing the best of food and drink produce, along with spectacular entertainment, fantastic shopping and music; there really is something for everyone.
If you are visiting Flavours this weekend don't forget to call in to the Fingal Village for an opportunity to find out more about your Council. As it was last year, the Fingal Village is located in the enchanting Walled Garden where it will be hosting multiple council departments eager to tell you what services and activities are available through the council.
Libraries will showcase their mobile library van and have organised a plethora of entertainment options for children, including captivating puppet shows, delightful story times and whimsical face painting and more.
To encourage the use and learning of the Irish language, a pop-up Gaeltacht area will entice visitors to converse and delve into the rich linguistic heritage.
The Community team will be showcasing supports in place for communities, with a children’s play area. They will also be giving away buckets hats and sunglasses to participants who complete their survey.
Digital services will captivate attendees with immersive VR demonstration showcasing the magnificence of Swords cultural quarters and the exciting Balbriggan rejuvenation project, all experienced through the cutting edge Oculus technology and surveying for the new Digital Strategy.
Housing will provide array of information and meet with potential purchasers of affordable homes, loans and vacant home grants, along with Irish Host encouraging families to host Ukrainians in their homes, safely and sustainably.
Environment/ Climate action team will have a food waste stand and sustainable gardening, giving out food waste caddies.
LEO will have an unmanned stand with information brochures and promotional material available for attendees to take.
Recruitment will be speaking to attendees regarding job opportunities with Fingal County Council
Register of Electors will be encouraging attendees to check the register throughout the busy weekend.
Parks will be speaking about the Fingal award winning Bloom garden “ A Breathing Space” at the Fingal Village
Tourism department will be speaking about all the locations and sites in Fingal that visitors can enjoy and visit.

Additionally the Seamus Ennis Centre will be present to promote the Garden Party 2023, Adult Education Service informing attendees of their services on free literacy and ESOL classes.
The Fingal Village will be a great attraction and is an opportunity for the community to find out more about their Council and what’s going on in Fingal. Visitors will be treated to delighted array of goodies including tote bags, t-shirts, bucket hats and more so make sure you pop by to learn about the work underway to make Fingal a great place to live, work, visit and do business.
