Fingal Projects Shortlisted for National Awards

A number of projects in Fingal have been shortlisted in both the Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards and the Ireland eGovernment Awards. This recognition highlights Fingal's ongoing commitment to innovation, community engagement, and environmental conservation.

The shortlisted projects for the Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards are:

  • Vintage Picnic Arts Creativity and Music Festival for +55s (Age Friendly Initiative)
  • Wildfire Management Howth Head (Climate Change)
  • Virtual Reality for Fingal Libraries (Communications)
  • Fingal Proms 2024 (Festival of the Year)
  • Pilot Public/Private Energy Retrofitting Scheme, Strandmill Estate (Local Authority Innovation)
  • Fingal Cultural & Tourism TV (Supporting Tourism)
  • Revitalising Heritage: Restoring St. Ita’s Historic Homes for Modern Use (Urban Revival)

Additionally, two Fingal projects have been shortlisted for the Ireland eGovernment Awards:

  • VR for Libraries (Education Category)
  • Use of 3D Models & VR Headsets for Consultations (Local Gov and Smart Cities Categories)
