Fingal retains CPD accreditation for its engineers
Recognising the ongoing commitment to continuous professional development systems and practices for its staff, Fingal County Council has been re-certified as an Engineers Ireland CPD Accredited Employer for the maximum permitted period of three years.
Fingal currently has 65 engineers that work in a wide variety of disciplines across the many council service areas in the County. That includes staff operating in roles dealing with transport needs, housing, major infrastructure projects, public realm enhancements, water services and the environment. An example of one such project underway in Fingal involves the construction of Ireland’s first Dutch-style roundabout in Dublin 15.
Chief Executive of Fingal, AnnMarie Farrelly, welcomed the reaccreditation saying: “Fingal County Council is a vibrant and dynamic place to work, and we are very proud to have been re-certified as an CPD Accredited Employer.
“We recognise the importance of investing in continuous professional development to help empower our engineers to be innovative and enable them to deliver creative solutions for the benefit of residents, businesses and visitors alike.”
