Irish Water progressing with improvement works on Stamullen wastewater network

Irish Water is working in partnership with Fingal and Meath County Councils to improve the wastewater network in the Stamullen area.

The works involve the construction of 2km of new sewer pipe along the R132 from the Devlin Bridge to Cardy Rock, Balbriggan. The project is being delivered in adherence to government and HSE guidance and in compliance with stringent Covid-19 controls.

Works are scheduled to start in early June and expected to be completed by September 2021.

Some traffic management will be in place, however, local and emergency access will be maintained at all times. The local community where the works will be delivered have been notified directly.

The works will support existing and future residential and commercial development and safeguard the environment in Stamullen and surrounding areas by reducing the risk of wastewater overflows.

The latest updates on these works will be available on the supply and service section of the Irish Water website https://www.water.ie. The Irish Water customer care helpline is open 24/7 at 1850 278 278. Customers can also contact Irish Water on Twitter @IWCare with any queries.
