Latest bathing water samples are good news for Balbriggan swimmers

Results from samples collected on Tuesday the 13th of September means the following beaches have met the result for “excellent” water quality and the Prohibition Notices that had been in place will be removed: 

  • Front Strand, Balbriggan
  • South Strand, Skerries
  • Velvet Strand, Portmarnock

Unfortunately, the sample taken at Burrow Beach in Sutton has met the standard for “poor” and a Prohibition Notice will be put in place. A resample will be arranged.
