Let’s Play Rush Event Draws Over 1,000 Attendees for Easter Fun Day Extravaganza in Kenure Woods
Rush, Ireland - March 28, 2024 - Up to 1,000 excited attendees, including families from across the community, gathered for the annual Let’s Play Rush event held on Easter Fun Day at Kenure Woods Park. Organized by volunteers from Rush Tidy Towns, Rush Community Council, and Rush 38th Scout Group, with funding from Fingal County Council, the event delivered a memorable day filled with joy and excitement for all.
The Let's Play Rush Project, which was developed as part of the Urbact National Practice Transfer Initiative under the Playful Paradigm Project, continues to develop play opportunities, and deliver playful projects in partnership with the Council and local community groups beyond the timeframe of the EU Project.
The festivities featured a delightful array of activities including an egg trail winding through the enchanting woods, entertaining games, lively music, a sensory tent for immersive experiences, Penalty kick challenges, delightful face-painting sessions, an assortment of refreshments, thrilling prizes, and the crowd-favorite - the infamous sock fight.
Brian Doherty, Chairperson of Rush Community Council, expressed, "The philosophy behind Let’s Play Rush is to create a day where everything is free, alleviating any financial pressure on parents and allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the fun. It truly makes for a fantastic family day out."
