Local Authority Mortgages with Fingal County Council

Fingal County Council is aware that some borrowers may suffer hardship during the coming weeks due to Covid-19 which may coincide with the loss of jobs, loss of wages, shorter working hours or reduced pay.

If a borrower needs State relief due to any of the above, they should consult the following link: https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/99104a-covid-19-coronavirus  The borrower can then submit documentary evidence by a scan or screenshot to [email protected]   and Fingal County Council will consider whether a short term arrangement for a reduced payment could be applied to the account as a temporary measure.

When a borrower enters into this ATP (Arrangement to Pay), it will be applied to their loan account immediately, which will avoid any arrears occurring on their loan account, or any effect on their credit record.

Once this Arrangement to Pay has been applied to a borrower’s loan account our Mortgage Support Team will confirm everything in writing with the borrower.
