Night-Time road resurfacing works on L1140 west of M1 Junction 5

Road resurfacing works are to be carried out during night-time hours to a section of the L1140 between the M1 Junction 5 northbound roundabout and the roundabout 135 meters west of M1 Junction 5. These works are required due to pavement deterioration which has resulted in numerous potholes forming. These works will be carried out by Globalvia Jons Ltd on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
Dates and times the works will be carried out.
- Our current programme is as below, please note these are subject to weather conditions.
- Monday 6th November: 22:00-06:00
- Tuesday 7th November: 22:00-06:00
Traffic Diversions will be as follows:
- Traffic traveling from M1/Balbriggan towards Walshestown:
- Traffic travelling towards Walshestown will travel east on the L1140 towards the R132. At the roundabout of L1140 & R132, take the third exit for R132 southbound (Swords). Continue along the R132 southbound for 1.4km and take the exit for Man O’ War/Garristown. At the roundabout, take the third exit for Dublin/Belfast. At the next roundabout, take the first exit for L1080 (Walshestown). Continue along the L1080 for 2km then turn right for Tooman Rd (Walshestown). Continue along Tooman Rd for 1.3km until the junction of Tooman Rd & L1140.
- Traffic traveling from Walshestown towards M1/Balbriggan:
- Traffic travelling towards M1/Balbriggan will travel west on the L1140 for 800m. Turn left at the junction of L1140 & Tooman Rd and continue straight for 1.3km. Turn left at the junction of Tooman Rd & L1080 and continue straight for 2km. At the roundabout take the second exit then turn left on to the R132 northbound. Continue straight on the R132 northbound for 1.4km until the roundabout.
