Over 2,800 Fingal business share €11m in business grant

Fingal County Council has paid over €11m to over 2,800 businesses across the county under the Increased Cost of Business (ICOB) Grant.

The Grant was introduced by the Government as part of Budget 2024 and was a support measure of small and medium sized business.

Fingal County Council managed the roll-out of the grant to qualifying businesses and contacted all ratepayers in the county to inform them of the Grant and invite eligible businesses to register online for the once-off payment.

The grant was worth up to €5,000 for eligible businesses and there was an additional top up grant of up to another €5,000 for hospitality and retail businesses.

Fingal County Council made 4,382 payments totaling over €11m to over 2,800 business. Approximately 45% of all ratepayers in Fingal received a grant payment and 92.79% of all grant applications met the eligibility criteria set by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
