Prior Warning Notices lifted Burrow beach, Sutton, Velvet Strand, Portmarnock, Claremont beach, Howth
Results of the samples taken on 9th August for the Burrow beach, Sutton and Velvet Strand, Portmarnock have met the standard for “excellent” and Claremont beach, Howth has met the standard for “sufficient”.
In addition, the water quality at Malahide beach (non-identified bathing water) also met the standard for “excellent”.
Following consultation with the HSE the prior warning notices will now be lifted and removed from the beach noticeboards.
Other monitored waters also sampled on 9th August were Balscadden Bay and Ireland’s Eye – both have met the standard for “excellent” water quality.
The next scheduled date for monitoring of bathing water quality will be Monday 14th August.
